Natalie Nagy Named 2024 Omicron Delta Kappa National Leader of the Year - Creative and Performing Arts
Lexington, VA (05/07/2024) — Natalie Nagy of Bellbrook, Ohio, has been named the 2024 Omicron Delta Kappa National Leader of the Year for Creative and Performing Arts. This award is one of the highest honors presented to an undergraduate member of the Society each year.
Nagy is a 2023 initiate of the Wright State University Circle in Dayton, Ohio. She graduated in April 2024 with a 4.0 GPA, receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance and a minor in Arts Management. She plans to teach, choreograph, and dance professionally and work in arts administration.
"I am thrilled to recognize Natalie, who has demonstrated exceptional leadership as the National Leader of the Year for Creative and Performing Arts," Jennifer Waller, ODK president and CEO, said. "This award celebrates an individual achievement that impacts and influences across our world."
As a New Student Recruiter for the Wright State University dance department, Nagy attended auditions to engage with potential recruits and served on a discussion panel for parents and families. She also served as the student representative for the Emerging Choreographer's Concert, which showcases one choreographic work from all juniors and seniors. Her choreography was chosen to be showcased at the School of Creative and Performing Arts' Arts Gala Fundraiser.
"I am filled with gratitude to accept this award," Nagy said. "This honor not only celebrates my journey as a fellow artist and leader, but also the countless souls who have illuminated my path with support and inspiration along the way. I am thankful to be part of an organization that gives generously and proactively to pursue the betterment of our communities."
Nagy also served as president of the Wright State University Circle, helping to plan its Leader2Leader: Beyond Borders conference.
