Local Eastern Connecticut State University Students Participate in Pathways to Leadership Program
A number of Eastern Connecticut State University students have been participating in Pathways to Leadership, a tiered student leadership program series. The program has been developed based on Eastern's Strategic Planning Initiative to enhance on-campus culture by providing leadership training experiences for students. All Eastern students interested in developing leadership skills are invited to join the Pathways to Leadership program.

Local Crane School of Music Students to Perform at Lincoln Center
More than 200 students from The Crane School of Music at The State University of New York at Potsdam will make their collective Lincoln Center debut on May 1 in a performance of Giuseppe Verdi's monumental Messa da Requiem under the baton of Ann Howard Jones.
In celebration of the 125th anniversary of SUNY Potsdam's Crane School of Music, the entire Crane Chorus and members of the Crane Symphony Orchestra will travel to New York City for the Avery Fisher Hall concert.

Area Students Selected to be Freshman Advantage Mentors at William Woods University
William Woods University is again offering a three-week summer program, called Freshman Advantage, for students who want to get a jump-start on college. The program, which started June 12, runs until July 2 on the WWU campus.
This year 11 mentors are assisting the participants by tutoring, leading weekend activities and serving as community advisors in the residence halls. The mentors are selected by Freshman Advantage faculty through an application and interview process.

SUNY Oneonta has honored 45 students as the college's "Best and Brightest" for the fall 2010 semester.
